For over 25 years, T+I Technologie- und InnovationsConsult GmbH has supported companies and research institutions in successfully implementing innovation projects – from the first idea to market launch. Our goal: to sustainably strengthen the innovation and growth capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Today, we are among the committed initiators of international innovation projects with partners on four continents.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Providing services to companies, scientific institutions and public clients in project development and project management of technology and innovation projects, as well as providing services in the fields of research and development, knowledge and technology transfer, marketing and financing – that is our daily business, literally our DNA.

We currently coordinate four international ZIM innovation networks as well as various innovation projects in different technology fields.

Since 2018, we have been working successfully with the „Institute for Molecular Bioscience“ at „The University of Queensland“ on the initiation and coordination of international innovation networks and development projects.

Together with our partners, we are developing the „T+I Circular Bioeconomy Cluster“ – a steadily growing, interdisciplinary association of companies and scientific partners.

Within the T+I Cluster, we bring together companies and research partners who are planning joint projects. We identify suitable funding and financing opportunities for national and international cooperation projects, and support you with applications and accounting.

Interdisciplinary exchange generates new ideas and project approaches, market entry is achieved faster and with lower risk, and business models remain future-proof.

We support companies in applying for the research allowance (Forschungszulage).

Innovation Perspectives: Sustainable Water and Gas Treatment with Herbst Umwelttechnik GmbH

Successful Kick-off of the BlueLandTech Network
On 7 October 2026, the partners of the international ZIM innovation network BlueLandTech came together for the official Kick-off at the WISTA Innovation Centre CHIC in Berlin. The meeting focused on introducing the participating companies and research institutions, presenting the network and its objectives, and identifying further opportunities for cooperation between the partners. The international coordinator, the University of Queensland, joined digitally, and the presentations of the international partners were shown as recorded contributions. The meeting thus laid the foundation for joint work on circular technologies for climate adaptation and integrated water and resource management.
Innovation Perspectives: A revolutionary gas-phase technology for food safety and longer shelf life
In the latest instalment of our interview series "Innovation Perspectives", we speak with Andrew Inglis, founder of Cellysis. His gas-phase technology achieves up to 6-log reductions of pathogens such as Listeria – while significantly extending the shelf life of fresh produce. One example: the shelf life of blueberries was extended from 14 to over 32 days.

Innovation Perspectives: Non-destructive fruit quality assessment with Rubens Technologies
In the latest instalment of our interview series "Innovation Perspectives", we speak with Daniel Pelliccia, founder of Rubens Technologies. His spectroscopy-based device measures fruit ripeness completely non-destructively – and for different fruit varieties with just a single device. A practical example: a packing house scanned 25,000 apples (around 4 tonnes) without cutting a single one.

T+I at E-World 2026
On 12 February 2026, T+I visited E-World energy & water in Essen, Europe's largest trade fair for the energy industry. The focus was on professional exchange with industry representatives and innovative solutions in the field of renewable energies, particularly battery and energy system services. Trends towards digital applications in energy management, energy trading and various storage models were clearly evident – from green power storage for self-consumption optimisation to economically attractive grey power storage with short amortisation periods. The trade fair visit provided valuable market impulses and new contacts for future projects in the energy sector.
Kick-off Meeting Phase 2 of the "Agri Energy" Network
On 25 November 2025, the German and Australian partners of the international ZIM innovation network Agri Energy met for a digital kick-off for the second network phase. The aim was strategic alignment and deepening of collaboration. In addition to a brief presentation of current areas of interest, diverse synergies were identified and concrete cooperation opportunities discussed. A technical highlight was the presentation of the ZIM feasibility study by Mr Stiehler (mechakon) on the use of a novel low-temperature heat-to-power converter in agricultural operations, whose successful feasibility assessments form a solid basis for further development projects in the network.
Innovative cosmetics from algae: IGV Rehbrücke in the press
The Institute for Cereal Processing (IGV) develops products based on microalgae, whose cultivation and processing require a great deal of expertise. At the same time, the many different application possibilities also offer many opportunities. On 24 July 2025, the Märkische Allgemeine published an article in which the company shows how cosmetics are made from microalgae.

Algae instead of skin transplants: UQ research team achieves breakthrough in treating severe skin injuries
A research team led by Dr Melanie Oey from the University of Queensland has developed an innovative method for treating burn injuries – using genetically modified algae. The technology could make skin transplants faster, cheaper and available to more patients in the future.
